  • In the wee hours of the night a commotion erupts in the common lounge - several crew have cornered de Mendoza and are beating him down for sneaking onto 1st class deck. Quinten joins in, delivering several brutal blows to de Mendoza. Captain suggests that they proceed to internation waters and store body in freezer until arrival at Mollondo.
  • Investigators interviewed by police at Mollondo, free to go. De Mendoza body removed to local morgue.
  • Investigators take train to Puno; very scenic ride.
  • Arrival Puno; locals distrustful of European people; Kharasiri have been attacking. Proceed to Narya’s house (a contact of Jackson’s). It is locked up, so they spend night in local Catholic Church (monk’s quarters).
