19 March, 1921

  • Accompanied Jackson Elias to meeting with Prof. Sanchez at the University Museum. Undergrad assistant, Trinidad Rizo, found mummified in storeroom (dead). Prof. Sanchez attacked upstairs by de Mendoza, who “kissed” the prof. Recovered the Golden Ward and page written by Gaspar Figueroa, conquistador. Unusually large larva removed from prof. Sanchez’s stomach later that day.
  • Ran into Larkin and de Mendoza at Bar Cardano, having dinner (Larkin was). De Mendoza leaves, Larkin gets crazy, acts possessed and scrambled. Larkin invited up to room for inpromtu exorcism, which fails. Larkin in full possession stands up, threatens everyone, then gets hit over head and knocked out.

Session ended with group on their way to docks and Larkin tied to a chair back at the hotel. De Mendoza is at large.
